Welcome : Newsletters : Cedar Heights Lifeline : Monday, July 12, 2010 8:30 PM

They received some good news at the appointment yesterday. The baby showed a lot of growth from the last ultrasound so they are going to let her go four more weeks. They are planning a C-section around the 5th of August! As long as she continues to feel well and nothing pops up additionally he will get that extra time before they take him via C-section. His long bones are still measuring small (several weeks behind and all different lengths). They say this could be related to the club feet or it could be a number of other things (including the chromosomal 13 or 18). The doctors were planning on looking for a few things (specifically his spine) at the ultrasound to confirm the chromosomal issues. They were unable to confirm or rule out the chromosomal issues which we are taking as a huge blessing and praise! That means there is still so much they don’t know and every week he is in there the better things will be when he arrives! They say he is laying in a very odd position which is making it difficult to tell a lot.

Please ask the church to continue to pray for heal and a safe arrival. I will keep you all posted as we receive more updates but for now Baby, Mommy, and Daddy are doing well and are so thankful to God for the appointment yesterday! It was a huge improvement from the last several appointments where things seemed to always get worse.

My entire family is so thankful for all the prayers going up for them right now and we look forward to see what God is going to do through this amazing little man!

Thanks again!

Megan

Prayer requests:
1) We have another team member that is going home early.  I'm not sure exactly when, but Kristin will be going home early.  I'm pretty sure I've mentioned her in my previous emails.  She is still sick and seems to not really be getting better, but maybe a little worse.  She feels she would just be more comfortable at home.  We love her and will miss her so much!!  Please keep praying for her!!

2) One of our 'brothers,' Nate Burchill, sprained his ankle yesterday playing basketball.  So Vicki and I played doctor again and iced, elevated, and wrapped it.  We'll see how he's doing today, and determine from there what to do next.  The guys were going to go on an outing this weekend, so please pray that Nate would be able to go, but also that he would not injure himself anymore.

3) Spiritual attacks continue, they aren't usually in the form of anything big that you think, wow, that's definitely Satan, they are small things, like frustrations and injuries and illnesses and attitudes.  Please continue to keep not only me, but our hole 'family' in your prayers.  Pray that God would bind the enemy and that He alone would prevail!

4) And always sleep, rest, health (physically, emotionally and spiritually) are always a request.

Praises:
1) As I mentioned above we got a new 'sister' this week.  She's great and we're all looking forward to getting to know her!

2) Vicki (she came a couple weeks ago and is staying till the middle of August.  She just graduated nursing school, and passed her boards, and is going to Toccoa Falls College for one more year to finish her cross cultural studies degree this fall) has been a huge blessing!  We've become prayer partners and the other day had a very good prayer run (which equals running, then walking and talking and praying, and then running again).  It was so wonderful!  She's a truly amazing girl!!!

3) We are all growing in God so much!  His Word teaches us all new things every day!  We also love to talk to each other and learn what God is doing throughout our 'family'!

Thanks again for all your prayer!!!  You are all such a blessing to me!!!

Your sister in Christ,
  Heather
