I had a long day in Iowa City (3 ½ hours just for one appt), BUT I feel like I got some more confident answers. The mass in my knee does need to be removed ASAP which will be next week. They want to get this out so that it doesn’t cause a grinding or deteriorating of my knee. The good news is that it “looks” to be localized and all on the front. If this is really the case when they get in there, they expect to be able to get all of it with this one surgery and then NOT have it return. We can pray that this really is the case. They plan to do a scope next Friday in Iowa City to pull out the mass. They will then test it to find out exactly what it is. They still expect it to be this PVNS which is where the lining of the knee grows causing pain, swelling, burning, etc; but they think we may have caught it early enough. Until then I am free to walk around as my pain level tolerates. J I still need to take it easy, but I’ve been cleared to try and do some things. J
Thanks for your prayers! Please continue to pray as I head into surgery next week. It would be wonderful if this could be simple and treated with just one surgery.
